Founded in January 2008, SocialCentiv, then called Root & Madison, was started by Adam Root and Lindsey Madison with the express purpose of creating tools for small business that they would not otherwise have access to. In June of 2008, Root & Madison met Bernard Perrine (CEO). The result of this meeting began to pivot the purpose of the business from a web design company to a social media marketing firm.
Adam is a former web developer for Farmers Insurance, and the founder of getawebsite.com (do-it-yourself website creation tool). He has served in leadership roles in graphic design, interactive design and interactive development. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in corporate media. He has earned various advanced marketing and engineering certifications from Google, Hubspot, and The Pragmatic Studio and his thought leadership has been published in INC, CIO and Mashable among many others.
Lindsey’s expertise is centered on the user experience and psychology. Additionally, she has an extensive background in sales and marketing with several large corporations, including the University of Phoenix and Eli Lilly. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma, Advanced Web Development Certifications from Google and The Pragmatic Studio, and a Social Media Marketing Certification from HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing University.
Lindsey was responsible for creating the solution roadmap and experience strategy at all levels concerning the user, market, business, communications, websites, solutions, features, innovations and mobile initiatives.
Bernard grew up in a small town in Ohio and graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Business Management before joining Kinko’s in its early days. Throughout his years with Kinko’s he held various roles, culminating in becoming one of the Founding Partners and Corporate Officers. During his career he also participated in executive management development at both Harvard and University of Pennsylvania. After Kinko’s was sold to FedEx, Bernie went on to lead global businesses with both Eastman Kodak and Microsoft.
